A husband of fifty-five years, a father, and a grandfather, Gary built a life grounded in discipline, integrity, and service long before he considered public office.
He graduated from TF North High School in Calumet City, Illinois, played drums in a garage band in the 1960s, and still enjoys music; his granddaughter now plays drums too.
Gary never set out to become a politician.
